31 Jul Should you have a PSA Test?
There is no single test to detect Prostate Cancer.
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) is a protein produced only by cells in the prostate. PSA is prostate-specific and not cancer-specific and therefore can indicate a ‘problem’ in the prostate.
A high PSA reading does not always mean cancer but should be investigated.
