25 Feb Medicare rebates for Prostate MRI

Medicare Rebates are now available for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the prostate for the diagnosis of prostate cancer and active surveillance patients.

Your Urologist is eligible to request MRI Prostate studies. Medicare rebates are only available for scans of patients with specified indications* confirmed your Urologist after a thorough medical history and examination takes place. General Practitioners are not able to request a scan.
